Although I love Theatre very much, here is another art form that I enjoy. Take a look into my art pieces and the meaning behind them!

A Feathered Symphony

This is an art piece I did my senior year of high school. We had an assignment to realistically draw a bird that lives in the Rio Grande Valley. I create this piece with vibrant color pencils and pastels to help with the realism effect.

A Fatherly Portrait

This art piece was a portrait of my father who passed away in January of 2022. Beside him are items that correlate to his personality and things he enjoyed. The Scorpion made with nails has a double meaning, where the scorpion represents my father's zodiac sign and the nails represents his occupation as a construction worker. The roses are from a memory of mine that I adore. This memory is when my father was working out of state, and he still managed to give my mother a big vase of roses for valentine's days to show how much he loved her. However, since I was a beginner the portrait itself does not look like my father at all, so I like to make a joke out of it and call him Al.

The Unfinished soldier

Like every artist, we have those projects that just go undone because we have more exciting things to work on. Sadly, I was not able to finish this project because I ran out of time before the contest date, but I am still proud of the image I managed to create. This was my second time painting on wood, and it was my first time working with clay. My intention was to create a puppeteer effect and have a doll hanging from the clay hands popping out. Hopefully, one day I get to finish this project and show it off to its full potential.
